Thursday was Hariz Day and it worked out real nice.

Quiet place, calm neighbourhood. Who'd have thought that somewhere in Tiong Bahru was a lovely cake-lover's find? A late afternoon of tea-sipping (Earl Grey, and surprisingly nice it was too), having some very nice cake and yakking about anything and everything. It was perfect since the shop had all of 1 high table and two bar stools. Nobody came in and only time seemed to pass by.

It's been way too long what with him stuck in camp and myself caught up with course things, projects and Kendo.



Soul food is what it is.

(Although the hours after that was spent on a my Frantic Quest for Mooncakes at the Last Minute. (ーー;) That boy deserves to be sainted for putting up with my nutty scrambling from Takashimaya to Bugis to City Hall and BACK to Taka. Also, he has all the nice pictures since my camera died after taking this One Photo.)

Finally hooked my debit card up to my Paypal account 8D And I'm rarring to go BUY SOMETHING AMAZING....Except I don't know what. I could just start legalising my J-Rock collection but getting them in the mail won't feel very excite. 

I am also sick. I think. Got the flu thing from the Mother who got it from the Father. It's not that bad considering that most of my runny nose days are 6 times worse and have me feeling beyond crappy/mostly dead. 

I was supposed to make pancakes 1.5 hours ago but got sucked into surfing the Internuts again. Sigh. Hungry. This is such a pointless post. I will go feed myself and do something productive like wrap books and clear my room.

 Remember my last post which had a large paragraph on the Woes of Visual Novels with Incredible Bishies which Only Come in Japanese? Since nobody will really Understand until they see for themselves, this shall be a minor pic post. (In-between scanning my Japan photos which is Taking For-Bloody-Ever).

Of course after every good trip there is the Amazing Haul of Treasure to be catalogued and lovingly accounted for. In addition to the stuff in the photos, I have a BL novel (WTF IS MY LUCK I WANTED A GRAPHIC GRAPHIC GRAPHIC NOVEL NOT A NOVEL NOVEL), Fuji Shinnithi's reprinted doujin compilation (FMA stuff, ROYxED oh yeah) and things bought for other people.

The prizes for this trip are the clothes (CLOSET CHILD=HEAVEN) and shoes which I won't post pictures of until they are properly coordinated and worn about the town. Suffice it to say that I have a new pair of FIERCE black platform shoes, FIERCE mid-calf maroon boots (although maroon can never sound hardcore), BlackxPurple Onitsuka Tiger sneaks, a Miho Matsuda long vest and knee-skirt, Moi Meme Moitie High Pants and Long Skirt as well as a red and black striped Bodyline Shirt. An amazing haul it is. Happy out of my mind I am.

Behold my not-so-soft rolls. If I were aiming for heavy dinner rolls, they'd be perfect. Unfortunately they were supposed to be light and fluffy. But never mind. It tastes like Bread, looks like it and nobody has gotten food poisoning. Although I can see why bakers can become muscle-bound in the arms.


VOILA the first real meal I have cooked, from dead chicken and mostly dead vegetables. Sweet potato mash, a portabello mushroom topped with the 3 colors of capsicum and cheese, resting on half of one of the aforementioned rolls. And pan-fried chicken with creamy onion sauce. Miracle of miracles, everything was cooked without burning, seasoned without oversalting and generally went well. The is Hope for me Yet. (Yes I know it looks rather unappetising but I swear it tastes a lot better, if not good.)


See the fruits of my crafty labour. The purple fleecy gumdrops with wings. They are hereby christianed Fleedrops until I come up with a cleverer name for them. Tragically the blue chalklines are dead obvious on the white one. From these three shall come my Crafting Empire and great fame and fortune will flow in my general direction. I hope.   

I have double standards so help me, who doesn't?

Up to and including wearing disgustingly short skirts, the most retarded dances the Universer has ever seen, FBTs, EYESHADOW WHEREVER THEY SO CHOOSE, glitter, chains, leather, fishnets...Although I draw the line at pink. Very very very very few things are tolerable in Pink. Except if it's edible.
