So I'm 19 now.
I have my own shinai.
And a new hairdryer.
I've eaten lots of cake (mostly from Glace).
And had several good meals with great people
Whom I miss terribly.
And they don't even live in a different country.

That's sort of sad
Which is what school mostly is these days
That might explain why I'm re-reading A Clockwork Orange.
And downing lots of pearl milk tea.
Then again it might not.

My head has gone from streaks of aged straw to purpleish.
According to the box of dye, I'm aubergine.
I go great with sambal
And will become nice and marshmellowish
When heat is applied.

This is supposed to be the 500th entry
But I thought it quite a waste for a landmark number
To be heralded with a siansational update.

This isn't an attempt at poetry
I just like looking at smaller columns of text

I have half a speech to finish by 6.30pm
After which I will spend 2 hours
Thrusting, screaming, making my feet parallel
And attempting to lunge impressively.

The tragic highlights of my day are
The Mentalist @ 10pm
And a scoop of Orange Choc Bitters
from UDDERS.

I'm probably updating a lot less
Because I don't care for much of anything these days
And there's only so much you can say
About an unfulfilling day
anyway.

Two and A Half Men = The Dope

  1. Thank goodness for my Management Comm Prof. Aside from the fact that class ended so early today that I can go home and unlax before training later, it's the only class I actually Care about doing good in. And yes, it Is Fun. Routine message writing assignments not really but the fact that we're getting to do speeches makes my term. He's surprisingly easy on the ears, a bit unconventional and fairly interesting (and I suspect he's also a Grammer Nazi deep down. All that meticulousness in his speech and attire must mean something after all.) I SWEAR. TO. GOD. I would've killed myself if it wasn't for COMM101.  (ーー;)
  2. I am listening to Elton John's stuff seriously for the first time.
  3. Finally finished sanding Bae down. Tedious as hell (and I ingeniously managed to sand away some of the skin on my fingers) and not a perfect job but good enough for now. His seams are all smooth now, all the better to creep people out in photos. Ohohoho.
  4. NEIL GAIMAN. I've got tickets for all three events. ( ̄ー ̄) So need to spend the next month completing my Sandman/Gaiman collection and re-reading.
  5. NEW MUSE AND GREEN DAY ALBUMS. Although the Green Day one isn't..er..that new. Both are fairly good but still under 5 listens so far so it's too early to say. I do hear some funky influences in the Muse album though and both bands seem to be trying new or unusual things.
  6. I have a break for all of next week. WOOHOO. Some time to catch up with people and projects (my own & hobbies-related mostly. I don't think school projects merit such enthusiasm or time.)
  7. You can spend forever watching videos of speeches from TED.
  8. This entry is terribly mundane.

I will never get back the hour of my life just wasted watching the pilot of 'Dollhouse', some ridiculous Whedon creation.

If I have to sit through 5 more bland-ass episodes for it to get good, I'd rather hop off to watch House, Life on Mars, Two and a Half Men, Torchwood, Blackpool, Doctor Who, Glee, Rome, Merlin, Robin Hood, even the Mentalist's occasionally less-than-amazing episodes. Shit this list can go on forever.

Good Grief, Dushku's acting was painful from the first 30 seconds of the episode for crying out loud. The whole thing felt like some crappy mesh of typical Whedon characters and old-as-dirt stereotypes.

On the Subject of Japan:

The flight and hotel is settled. My visa is in the process of being settled and I have several devious schemes for X Japan Tickets. As a result of all of the above, I fluctuate from severe stress to Immense Glee. Although these days (with the major booking done), it is Very Very Immense Glee. Just thinking about it makes me want to cackle and run around Singapore screaming and simply sit, sigh and perfect my Look of Enlightenment.

I am finally, finally going Home after years of praying, pestering, dreaming and hoping.

On the Subject of Korea(n Dramas):

Boys Over Flowers has Ended at long last. It technically ended early this week but being a Lifeless Zombie Admin Person, I spend my weekdays vegetating in the Office and out of it. So today I watched/sped through/spammed 7 episodes of BOF practically back to back. I was Never so Insanely Happy to hear 'Almost Paradise' playing again.

Unlike Fushigi Yuugi, I don't have any angst at all about the series ending. No gaping hole in my World, no incoming Armageddon. Just incredible contentment. It wasn't a brilliant work of art by any stretch of the imagination but it was (mostly) entertaining and definitely charming. So I will smile and be on my way, back to all those House episodes I haven't watched yet with just a little bit of Korea's Cracktastic Offerings in-between.

 Today was....

9.30am: WAKE UP
9.35am: WASH UP
10.00am: Fiddle with stuff on table
11.00am: Leave for Rox's Place
12-9.30pm: ROCK ON
10.00pm: Pack for JB

Watched 75% of X Japan's 'Last Live' followed immediately by Queen on Fire 'Live at the Bowl'.
Brilliant brilliant stuff.
Heart-wrenching and incredible.
Absolutely drained now.

And I think that if I ever catch X at the Tokyo Dome and Gackt on the same trip I simply cannot come back to Singapore.
The last period of withdrawal was a week.
The potential withdrawal of That Trip will be a month.
I'll go goddamn insane back home.

The Good Keep Dying Young.
Somehow the world keeps on turning
But it never forgets.

In 2 days I've sped my way through 10 episodes of Boys Before Flowers. In case you don't know, Boys Before Flowers is the South Korean version of Hana Yori Dango

Watch me Ramble About This Korean Drama Thing )

CONCLUSION, just as I was getting tired of K-Pop I am SPAMMED I TELL YOU SPAMMED by T-Max's Paradise (it being the Song of Choice for the OST for every SINGLE TIME Jun Pyo does something jaw-dropping that involves a lot of Money such as flying a private jet, not just any old model but a highly desired one with a waiting list a mile long, to an exclusive resort on an island in New Caledonia which He Bloody OWNS)

AAAAAALMOOOOST PAAAARAAADIIIIIISEEEEEEEE *MUMBLES SOMETHING VAGUELY KOREAN*
(So I haven't got the lyrics down pat.....YET! I WILL SOON NYAHAHAHAHA)

EDIT: HAHAHAHA I AM SO AMUSED. THE DORKY/BIMBOTIC BUM-ASS PRINCIPAL'S SON FROM I AM SAM IS THE SAME ACTOR AS LEADING RICH HOT-ASS IN BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS. LEE MIN HO YOU DORK. (More importantly, you OLDER dork. >8D 1987 baby for teh win)

  1. Trying to decide if spending $70+ on Threadless tees is worth it.
  2. Still working on a scheme that will end up with me being EMPOWERED WITH A SEWING MACHINE
  3. I love Korean diaries. Planners. Notebooks. Schedulers. Memo pads. Stationary period.
  4. My precious Sony Fontopia MDR-EX51LP earbuds HAVE COMMITTED SEMI-SUICIDE. (Although suspect the silence for the left bud is because of the cheap-ass molded jack. Got a pimpin' gold-plated one and will attempt to Solder for the First Time Ever to try and save my ol' 'buds.)
  5. I HAVE REPLACEMENTS. Ladies and gents, I introduce you to the KOSS PortaPros:
  6.  (Straight out of the pack)
  7. Totally going to mod these babys into ultra-comfortable, epically-awesome cans. 8D One of today's little projects.
  8. PHILADELPHIA AT 8PM
  9. Several HOUSE episodes to catch up on.
  10. Torchwood is...okay from the 2 episodes I watched. It's bizarre having pseudo-Americanos on BBC. I'll take the Doctor for now.
  11. I wish they'd have the Life on Mars marathon again.
  12. I. Will. Read. Something.
  13. Please stand behind the Yellow Line
  14. Anybody want to watch The Importance of Being Earnest?
